Easy to Use and Reuse:
Smartipants™ are both easy to use and easy to care for. Simply place the self-removing absorbent Smart Sleeve insert into either side of the sleeve, and it will stay snugly in place until you remove the nappy from your baby. Unlike most other pocket nappy style systems, once the Smartipants nappy is removed, there's no need to take out the insert -- it comes out in the wash! So no mess involved! They are as simple as a disposable, but rather than throwing them away, you throw them in the nappy bucket! Simple!
Easy to Wash:
Smartipants™ feature a special suede cloth lining on the inside of the nappy which not only absorbs and traps moisture for a nice dry bottom, it also repels solids. There is no need to rinse or soak your Smartipants, they can just be thrown straight in the bucket ready for wash day. Washing your nappies is simple- a cool rinse cycle is recommended to clear everything out, followed by a 40° wash cycle with 1/3 of your usual amount of detergent and no fabric softener. Your nappies can either be line dried or on an airer, or tumble dried on a low heat. Smartipants are designed to dry completely in just a few of hours.
Leak Guard Technology™:
Smartipants™ have been designed with a unique Leak Guard Technology™ which keeps the moisture inside the insert and away from the sides of the nappy, helping to prevent leaking from the legs. Moisture is kept contained and your baby stays dry!
One Size Fits All:
Smartipants™ Nappies are fully adjustable so that they can be form-fitted to your baby at any age and size, from newborn to toddler. They grow with your baby from approximately 7lbs up to 35lbs. Snap fastenings down the front rise of the nappy enable you to adjust the sizing as and when you need to. One-Size nappy systems are a hugely economical option.

Liners: You may choose to use disposable liners inside your Smartipants™ nappies to help with the removal of solids, however these are optional and are not essential. The suede cloth inner layer of the nappies has a 'stay dry' effect to keep the bottom dry, as well 'repelling' solids making the removal of them very easy. This fibre is also less prone to staining.
Nappy Bucket or Hanging Pail: Any lidded bucket or hanging pail can be used to store your wet nappies. There is no need for soaking, they can be thrown into the empty bucket or bag ready for wash day. If using a bucket, mesh bags or pail liners can be used to make transferral of your nappies from the bucket to the machine really easy.
Wet Nappy Bag: This is a waterproof bag to be kept in your changing bag that can be used to store your wet nappies when you are out and about. We recommend the Smart Tote
Boosters: These are optional and may be used if your child is a heavy wetter, or for night-time boosting. We recommend the Little Lamb Bamboo Boosters which can be teamed with your Smartipants Insert perfectly and will provide a good boost in absorbency.

We love Smartipants. They fit perfectly, are very reliable, and work as night diapers as well (for nights we add a Little Lamb bamboo booster). The inserts come out by themselves in the washing machine, so no need to touch them (phew!). Cons: A bit too bulky for newborns, although I think that applies for all our one-size diapers. I think we started using these at 3-4 weeks. Also, would be nice to get them in more colors or nice patterns. Other than that, an excellent diaper.
I tried these as part of a free trial and LOVED them. Went on to buy a whole stash as they were much better than the others I tried. The inserts generally come out in the wash so no touching poo! They dry really quickly - the outer part is pretty much dry when it comes out of the machine, and the liner takes just a few hours. They are a great fit and really easy to use. We've not had a single poo leak since using them, and we were getting about one a day with disposables, so no more stained vests!I change them every two hours but would use a bamboo booster if using them for longer. I've not tried them at night. Colours are great too!
Loved the way the inserts come out reliably in the wash. Also a nice soft inside. But not convinced by the fit.
Not a bad nappy. It doesn't last long enough on my heavy wetter without a little lamb bamboo booster which is no problem because its very easy to stuff. It dries very quickly and I got a great fit on my little ones very chubby legs. I prefer Velcro to poppers for a snug fit but all in all a great choice especially when drying times is an issue.
great to use, and dries really quick
I tried one of these first from the pre-loved selection and thought it was brilliant so bought a few triple packs. The colours are amazing, I find them quick and easy to stuff, really reliable and can hold an awful lot before they even start to leak. My little one is 26lb and nearly 10months so a big baby and is still using the middle rise, but at a squeeze! Not the biggest OS nappy we use but a very very close second to my favourite I found the inserts do NOT come out in the wash for some reason, although they seem to for others, however I don't mind pulling them out as we need to with our other nappies anyway. Haven't tried boosting them but it feels like there will be plenty room for a 2nd insert. I am looking forward to using them on my newborn in a couple of months and I'm sure they will be just as good on him as on my daughter
this nappyis great, although I would always now pay abit more for a charlie banana pr fuzzi bunz this was my first BTP i tried and still gets used all the time. The insert dries super fast although I do need to add a bamboo booster as it doesn't last long enough on my 8 month old for more than an hour and a half give or take half an hour and she is a relatively medium/light wetter. The nappy though is trim and easy and the fact the pocket is open both ends makes it nice and easy even for daddies with big hands!
Great Nappies but still a little big on my 6 week old so still having a few leaks! Hoping this will resolve as she grows into them.Very easy to use and wash plus dry very quickly!
These do a great job for us, inserts are very absorbant and the nappies are easy to stuff. I don't think they're bulky at all like some people are saying - they look great on my 6 weeks old, but she is a big girl. She's a heavy wetter so we've been using disposables during the night, but I've ordered some little lamb booster that I'm hoping will do the trick so we can skip them completely and go full cloth.
These nappies are a bit bulky on my 12 week old, they are very absorbent when I can get the right fit which is 50/50 so the other half of the time I'm getting leaks which is a pain if its a poo. The insides are a bit tired looking after not much use
