Fuzzi Bunz Pocket Nappies

Fuzzi Bunz were the original pocket nappies, and as such have a fantastic reputation for their design and reliability. As a pocket nappy, the Fuzzi Bunz features a waterproof PUL outer layer, and a super soft microfleece inner layer for that fantastic 'stay dry' effect next to the skin. A thirsty microfibre insert is 'stuffed' between these two layers to provide absorbency, and all the moisture is wicked away from the skin and into the absorbent pad.

The beauty of a pocket nappy system is that the absorbency is customisable, as additional inserts can be stuffed inside the nappy if it is ever required. Pocket nappies are also perfect for those who do not have or do not wish to use a tumble drier, as all the parts seperate for super quick drying- the microfibre inserts of the Fuzzi Bunz are particularly great, as they feel almost dry to the touch after just the spin cycle in your washing machine!

Fuzzi Bunz Perfect Size are available in 3 sizes for literally that perfect fit:

Sizes:

Small: 8-18lbs

Medium: 15-30lbs

Large: 25-35lbs +

We also stock the Fuzzi Bunz One-Size nappy, which is a good choice for those who want  a nappy that wil last them from birth to potty training. One-Size nappies are a good economical option, however it should be noted that birth-to-potty nappies do have an optimum fit between around 15-25lbs with variable fit at either ends of the scale. Sized nappies such as these will tend to provide you with a better fit at any given point.

Designs:

Available in 3 gorgeous prints: Turquoise Daisy, Lavender Daisy and Green Daisy

Price: £13.75 which includes a Microfibre insert

Personal Observations:

The Fuzzi Bunz was actually one of the first nappies in our 'stash' when our daughter was born in the USA, and they are massively popular over there- and rightly so! They provide a great fit, are slim, reliable and wash very well. Plus these new daisy prints are just too irresistable! Perfect for this lovely summer weather under a pretty dress! Every hardened cloth nappy addict needs a Fuzzi Bunz or two in their stash, that is just the rules!

Excellent Nappies... Especially if you aren't sure about real nappies.

Pros:
1) They're incredibly easy to use and are excellent for Dad's or Newbies to cloth nappies (who fear all nappies are the old terry cloths with pins!) - just as easy to put on as a disposable.
2) They look really cute / good.
3) They aren't too bulky.
4) They wash well (they say to wash on 60, but they come out just as well on a 40 wash)
5) They dry very quickly (outers practically dry out of the machine - inners take a few hours).
6) They have poppers.
7) Baby's bum is NEVER damp.
8) Baby clearly feels comfortable in them. (when we were starting out so using both these and disposables, you could actually see her visibly relax when she got one of these on (inevitably she would also need changing again pretty quickly!))

Cons
1) The reason they're not too bulky is because you have to buy new ones as your baby gets bigger, so costly.
2) Nowhere near absorbent enough on their own, you NEED a bamboo booster for each nappy. With one they last 4-5 hours happily without leaking.
3) But therefore they're not good for nighttime - although I am experimenting with lots of bamboo as I write!...
4) Not good for babies with chunky thighs (our 5 month old is on the loosest leg setting and tightest waist setting of her mediums - won't be able to move up to larges until her waist catches up!)
5) They can leak. The big explosive poos can seep out if not changed quickly.

Overall
I highly recommend these. As a newbie to cloth nappies I was worried they were difficult to use... These made me wonder why on earth people are still using disposables!
