I love this nappy! so adaptable to our needs, we've come to use this at night mostly.
Fantastic nappies! As previously written on younger babies need to change the outer quite often due to runny poos but have never has a leak and used them from day one! The disposable inserts are great when your on holiday as well! Brought the mix pack so use the bamboo at night and cotton in the day which works well for us! Will def use them again for baby no two!
Like the title says, very easy to use and we havent had a single leak. The only "problem" I have with them is that when baby is younger and not weaned ad the poo is runny, it will get on the wrap making it not usable again with a clean insert. Apart from that, LOVE my flips!
These nappies are so simple and easy to use they have converted me from disposables! Our childminder loves them as well as they are so easy! The poppers are fab and stop little fingers undoing the velcro which even at 9 months my princess can manage! I would definitely reccomend these to beginners and novices alike! Can't wait to get some disposable inserts for holidays!
These seem very prone to stretched elastic around the legs, all of mine are loose now and there os no way I could use these on our next baby. I have friends on forums who have had the same problem and the manufacturer does not stand by their warranty claiming that we 'have washed them wrong'. Funny how none of our other nappies have had this problem!
We bought the starter pack of flip stay-dry nappies along with 3 smartipants, and a trial pack with a BumGenius 4.0 and a totsbots in. Have to say that the flips are the ones I love the most as they are so convenient. My little boy is a breastfed 7 week old and I have 24 inserts and 7 wraps. I find that if I set up a wrap with an insert just in case there's runny poos on the leg of the wrap he's wearing, then that deals with the fiddly-ness of them compared to other all-in-one nappies. I definitely prefer the flips to every other nappy we have and am about to buy more wraps to get more colours. I find that the 7 we have will last roughly 2 days, although if there is poo on the leg they may last less time, which is why we're getting more wraps. The smartipants we have leak if he wears them for longer than 3 hours at night but we've not had that problem with the flips. Although they're a little bulky with 2 inserts in, I'm going to get some organic inserts and try what others have suggested,
I have been using these nappies for eight months now and would highly recommend them. They wash and dry really quickly and look as good as new, despite me using them every day. I have mastered the art of my nine month old going through the night without a leak - I wrap an organic insert around a stay dry and it is guaranteed to last 12 hours or more. Can't understand why more people don't use reusable nappies - they are so economical and good for the environment. Thanks to Fill-Your-Pants for recommending these to me at last year's Nappy Fair.
Never the first nappy to be chosen from my stash, as I find them slightly fiddly as a complete system, but I do use them all the time. I use the stay dry inserts with a Gen-Y universal wrap, as I find they hold the inserts a lot better. I use the flip wraps over a bamboozle fitted nappy at night,find they fit really well and never get leaks. They are also really good to take away for holidays, taking up loads less space. So they do have their uses, but I wouldn't use them as my only nappy.
These nappies are good but I got one as part of a trial pack and I preferred both the others (BumGenius v4 and Smartipants) over this one. Although it appears cheaper, I found I had to change the outer with most nappy changes as poo got on the seams and couldn't be wiped clean as the manufacturers suggest. I also find it difficult to put a clean insert in whilst changing my baby as she tends to wee as soon as I take the nappy away. Having a ready-stuffed nappy to slide in whilst removing the dirty one is a must for us.It is a very absorbent nappy, easy to wash and dry and fits well.
We started with bumgenius v3 which i would highly recommend but came across these- cheaper, more compact and less washing- an all round winner! Find the organic best overnight with a bamboo booster and stay drys in the day. Have used the disposable inserts- found putting two together gave good absorbancy and stayed put. Great nappy system and am hoping the poppers will be tough for my son to undo when he gets to toddler stage. These dry really quickly and although generous in size provide a good fit and very few leaks- esp when compared to the disposables that we have used.
We absolutely love the Flips and they are the perfect solution if you're on a budget. The tuck in flaps are great and save you having to stuff your hands inside soggy outer covers like the BumGenius nappies. Highly recommendable.
I wasn't sure about the flips at first, I had heard rave reviews but I thought they were just more expensive prefolds, I was wrong! we only bought one pre-loved to try and got a couple of extra inserts, but have just ordered another 4 outers and 12 inners, and actually considering ordering another outer and a couple of organic inserts to try! we LOVE the, so slim, and so easy to use, and take up so little space in the nappy bag! they are also really good for nursery, and we are planning a trip to disneyland in june and plan to take flips with a combination of inserts so we don't have to go back to disposables! (though we may try the disposable inserts!) they are so reliable, and even if left too long and insert is saturated they haven't leaked! Can't wait for more to come!
I absolutely love these nappies. I''ve was always determined to give cloth nappies a go for many reasons but my husband was dead set against it. After buying the flip stay dry trial pack though, he's seen how easy they are and has jumped on board. Since buying the complete kit we're even keeping a 'bum change tally' so we know how many stinky disposables we'd have chucked if we weren't using these. Our little man has seriously exposive breast fed poo's (especially if I've dared to have more dairy than normal) and is most definitley a heavy wetter. I persevered with the disposables for the first 14 weeks but found myself soaking poo sodden vests and baby grows three or four times a week at the very least. Since using the lovely flips for the last week or so though, we've not had any leaks or explosions at all. I've gone for the half and half package and am using the microfibre in the day time and the organic cotton at night. The poppers on the outers are unbelievable easy to use and it's an added bous that they don't necessarily need to be changed with every insert. I love the sight of all the clean inserts drying around the house and also love the fact that for the first time since becoming parents, I can't see our wheely bin being full of pooey products by the time it's collected. The only issue now is the look on my husbands face when I put our little man in his bubble coloured nappy as he thinks it's far too girly!
I love my flip nappies - on the whole I use pockets but I have a couple of these also. I love using them they are super slim and last a good length of time. However one little word of warning, I am a little lazy at changing and on one occasion the nappy was extremely wet - since that day the wrap has never been the same! It leaks along the same line after about an hour. However, probably due to my laziness than a fault in the nappy, but if you're a little lacadasical like me, just be warned!
These fit our 10 month perfectly, are easy to use and we've had no leaks.I'm not so sure about the disposable inserts as they seem to get very heavy when wet but the reusable inserts are great
After trying Tots Bots, BumGenius and the Flip Stay Dry, we were most impressed with the Flip and use it every day. It fits my baby boy (now 10wks) really comfortable and is totally reliable.
I love Flips - they're so reliable, we've never had a leak, and they're one of the slimmest fit nappies that we have. We use them with a prefold as an everyday nappy.
Wish i'd tried these earlier as they are fantasic. very slim and super aborbant - never had a leak. only downside is they are a little fiddly compared to pockets

I really like thus nappy, it fits my 4 month old really well, quick drying and the stay dry insert keeps my sons skin nice and dry. The only reason I've given it 4 stars is that I usually have to change the cover aswell due to my sons very runny poos!
These are great nappies, very cheap and easy to use and never leak. You don't even have to touch the yucky insert to remove it. They are my husbands favourite. Please stock the aplix ones too!
From disposable user to real nappies these are great to get you started I wont look back great colours and with flexibility of inserts I wouldnt be without these!
A major improvement on the other brand of reusables I have used. The stay dry inserts dry really quickly. We've never had a problem with leaks. They're not bulky, unlike some other re-usables. And unlike some of the other "one-size" nappies, they actually look like they'll fit my son until he's ready for potty training.
I am new to the Flip and I like them lots. I use them when I am away from home for more than a day because they take up much less room than other nappies. The stay dry mf inserts are very absorbant and if out and about it is good not to have to change the outer as often (and unlike other brands you really don't have to change it often). However, we have the occasional leak as B is very wriggly but nothing to write home about.I also love this nappy as it non cloth mums see it and think 'I can handle that' so I have already converted two mums to cloth - yay!
I really like this nappy. It is so easy to adjust and is a lovely slim fit. The pad has been totally soaked and yet, totally contained. We've been using these for several weeks and haven't had a leak yet! Brilliant.
This is our staple every day nappy and it works perfectly, never had a leak andthey're so trim. They were the first nappy I tried and were really user friendly.Also work well at night with 2 inserts.
This is a really good nappy - so simple and easy to use! I originally got 2 of them to try out, then quickly bought another 2 and 4 additional inserts, and I currently use them about half of the time on my 9 week old daughter. They fit really well, and the wrap is very stretchy and can easily see it fitting a large toddler. The insert stays lovely and dry against her skin thanks to the soft top layer, despite it being soaked through underneath, and the wrap doesn't feel wet inside when I change the insert. This is a good nappy for taking out with you, as the inserts don't take up much room in the changing bag unlike some other nappies.The only downside, and the reason I rate it a 4, is that the insert does sometimes move to the side and bunch up, and we have had the odd leak (but only if we've had it on at least 3 hours). But on a couple of occasions it has seen my daughter through 6-7 hours at night, so not sure where I went wrong with the leaks...?
they are the best fit wrap i have, they remind me of the bambino mio system in a way. He hasnt done an explosive poo yet but he had it on a good 2hrs with no leaks and after only 2 prewashes!
I bought 2 Flips on the BOGOF offer to give them a try. I was very impressed. My little girl is a "medium" wetter and they dealt with this very well with no leaks. They are super, super slim and you could hardly tell she had a nappy on!! The pink is a fab "girly" colour and perfect for us although the colours are pretty limited at the moment (although more to follow from the USA as I have been told). The only reason I have give the Flip a4 and not a 5, is that I occasionally found that the insert had moved in the cover becoming "bulked up" before changing time and this meant that 1, it could have meant leaks and 2, it may have got uncomfortable (neither of these have been noticed in our use). Overall, a FAB nappy
I have two in cloth and these are just fantastic. To be able to have a nappy which you can just change the inner in (if you're lucky!!) is incredible. Along with the fact that it's a BTP nappy as well, so it'll last the whole journey. My boys aren't easy babies when it comes to number twos, and quite frankly it's disgusting. But the containment on these nappies is amazing, it stays in EVERY time. I've not had one leak yet, and just got a new lot of them as they are now my main nappy!!
I was dubious when I ordered these, I'm not a fan of two part nappies and have to have as many wraps as nappies. I was coverted the minute I put this on my daughter, it fits so well, the poppers are easy to pop unlike some that I struggle with when she's wriggling. It would have to be a super super wee or explosive poo to cause this to leak, she went 5 hours in one and it still felt dry despite the insert being soaked.The outer itself doesn't even feel damp when it comes off and it's easy to shake out the insert without needing to touch it.There's also plenty of space to add extra boosters if needed.Highly Reccomended
I bought two of these with a spare insert whilst the bogof offer was on. I bought a Ribbit for my 2.8 yo son & a pink for my 6 mo daughter. I prewashed only once before using the first time & they worked fine with no leaks for a good 3-4 hours. They fit my chunky son very well with no marks on his legs or back. They gave my skinny girl a bit of a puff ball bum but otherwise fitted fine with the front poppered down. All in all these nappies are excellent & would be great for someone who is new to cloth nappies. I give the Flip system a 4/5.
abfab such a good nappy my LO wee's so very much and although his a year he still does some pretty nast 'wet' poos both of which were totaly contained-so impressed (though the poo did venture onto the wrap-but i think that was my fault?!). Also I'm very impatient and only rinsed the nappies twice and washed them once and abs was fab
I bought these to try with my toddler, and they are fantastic. He did one of the biggest poos EVER, and although the wrap bit DID get a bit messy on the inside, the poo was completely contained and nothing leaked. Amazing!! Today, he wore it for 4 hours, and when I changed him and took out the insert it was really wet, but nothing got through to the liner or his jeans! I love it!!!!
I bought this nappy to try on my 9mth old and it is really slim fitting and i have yet to have any leaks, i have also just used the wrap to cover a totsbots bamboozle as i had no flip inserts left as i only got the 2 to try and its been great no leaks at all. I have just ordered more!
