At last! The innovative, and fabulous Itti Bitti nappies are now available in a One-size version- the Bitti Tutto!
Now these truly are a birth-to-potty nappy- designed to fit from birth (3kgs or 6.5lbs) right through to a 20kg (44lbs) child! Wow!
Just like the Itti Bitti, the Tutto is designed to provide a neat and slim fit, and the bulk often associated with one-size nappies has been eliminated using clever design.
Each nappy comes with three soaker pads, so you can customise the absorbency to suit your baby. PLUS bitti tutto is brilliantly economical, as you can buy extra soaker pads separately (in the original super absorbent bamboo, or quick dry microfibre) and re-use the outer shell!
With luxurious, soft and waterproof minkee fabric on the outside for babies comfort, no additional nappy cover is required.
The bitti tutto has a complete internal gusset, protecting the sides and back – it’s our patented ‘poo fence’ which means you don’t need to worry about leaks and can use this nappy with confidence!
The bitti tutto is a unique, innovative, and neat fitting nappy, which fits a massive weight range. Although all the different 'parts' can take a while to get your head around, they are a must have for any seasoned cloth nappy addict!
I tried this nappy as part of the Try Cloth for £10 programme. My son is 1 year old, average weight with slightly slimmer legs than average and he DOES NOT like to have his nappy changed! The written instructions for how to use the inserts is quite difficult to follow, and not very intuitive. However, the people who make this nappy have some YouTube videos and after watching them I got on much better. Once I got the inserts right there were no more leaks and the nappy actually lasted a long time (4 hours). The nappy is very pretty & soft and highly adjustable (both size wise & absorbency wise with the inserts). We did find that poppers are just not for us though as our son wriggles too much. I really like this nappy in theory, but in practice it's just a bit too fiddly and too expensive to invest in a whole set of them. I think this would be a good nappy if you're using them from birth, as you'll have months of getting used to them on a non-wriggly baby that doesn't try to crawl off while you're trying to figure things out & put it on!
These are gorgeously soft and very pretty but are saved for occasions when they're going to be seen. The fit is fine, if a bit bulkier around the bottom than some others, but I find they wick quite easily, probably because of the minky fabric. Fully boosted they do last pretty much as long as other nappies, but I have to be more conscientious about changing on time, because there's very little lee-way.She likes cuddling them as well though, so they can always double up as snuggly-toys!
Bought one of these to try as new to reusables. Its a lovely looking nappy but I found the size very small. I have a 25lb er and they only just fasten, wouldn't fasten at all with the mini booster in. Great to look at but not very practical!
First off, these are one of the few BTP that might actually fit BTP! Also the bamboo inserts are better value for money than similar nappies that are microfibre. The other big plus is the poo fence - all nappies should have it! On the down side it is bulky around the hips and is the only nappy my LO looks uncomfortable in. It's also too narrow in the crotch to cope with big toddler wees.
We tried four different types of reusable nappies and these are our favourites and the ones we are going to buy more of. We can't comment on how good they are for older children as our baby is still quite small, but so far we haven't had any leakages and he seems to be comfortable in them and not instantly soggy on his skin when he has wet himself. The drying time isn't a problem as you can use a tumble dryer if you're in a hurry.
First thing first, the Bitti Tutto (and all of the ittibittis) look fantastic! I especially love the prints. The range of fit is also very good. They have fitted my youngest since we started using cloth when she was about 2 months old, and they fit comfortably on my 2.5 year old where other BTP nappies are coming up a bit small. However, they are expensive compared to other nappies that in my experience have been much more effective. I would not recommend this nappy for heavy wetters, and I find it quite fiddly to deal with also. I have also had a bit of trouble keeping the minky fabric soft as I live in a very hard water area, so wouldn't recommend to those with hard water either. I like the couple I have as a nice occasion nappy, but I'm glad I didn't pay full price for them.
I'm relatively new to reusable nappies so I researched an awful lot. Tutto's were recommended online a few times as a good night time nappy so I bought 3 tutto's and 5 D'lish all in ones for day times. Tutto's are excellent at night, it keeps my little girl dry until morning (she's 6 months) and they look fab!! I like them so much I'm only buying Tutto's as my main nappy now. They are colour coded with regards to the poppers which makes it completely easy to put together (even my anti-reusable nappy hubby finds it doddle) so not a feature I could moan about really. Plus they are so economical fitting babies of all ages and at the moment with the offer of a free set of inserts with every tutto purchased.I would recommend these completely for anyone wanted try out reusable nappies for the first time.
Ive tried every variation of snapping the pads in and different sizes on the front poppers but I dont seem to get a good fit on my son. He can wear them for about 3 hours but he is wet round the leg holes. It seems his wee goes thru the poo fence and makes the nappy wet on the outer side of the leg hole. They are slim fitting but very expensive for a bit of fluffy. I have 2 but wont be getting anymore
The fact that colour-coded poppers are needed just so you can work it out says it all. My husband won't use it and I find that it looks very bulky and comfortanble on my baby. On the plus side, it doesn't leak.
I bought two of these nappies just to add some prints to my BG block colour stash and I love them! The poo fence really does work and they absorb really well too. The only tiny downside is that the inserts take slightly longer to dry but its not enough to put me off! x
