Little Lamb Cotton Nappies

These LittleLamb cotton nappies were first introduced over a decade ago- a true classic!

Apart from the initial purchase price advantage they work out very, verycheap on cost-per-wear. We have had feedback from parents who have putour standard cotton nappies through four babies and then sold them on.

The Little Lamb Cotton Nappies are built to last in a throw away age.

Cotton Nappy Sizes

Size 1 fits babies from around 7lbs - 20lbs (3kgs - 9kgs) which is generally the age range newborn to nine months.

Size 2 fits babies from around 20lbs-38lbs (9kgs -17kgs) which should fit babies from about seven months to potty training.

Littlelamb nappies are also available in size 3 which fits from35lbs/16kgs. We sell very few size 3's as most babies are dry beforethey need them.

Easy to use, easy to wash, easy to dry and easy to buy.

Caring for this nappy is simple. Always use the dry bucket system (this means no soaking, no bleaching- just pop any poo down the loo then fold over the Velcro onto the laundry tabs and pop it into the bucket with the lid on to prevent any pong) then when you have a days worth of nappies (or two if you have enough), chuck it all into the washing machine with half a scoop of powder.  When your machine has done all the hard work for you dry the nappies either on the line or in the dryer.

Great for:

  • Night Time Nappies- The Little Lamb Cotton nappies provide a great solution for night times where you need that boost of absorbency to last through.
  • Heavy wetters

What else will I need?

Waterproof Cover: These nappies require a separate waterproof cover. We can recommend the Blueberry Coverall, Smart-Fit and Bummis Superbrites. Unlike the nappy however, these will only need changing when damp or soiled so you should only need a few covers in total.

Liners: You may choose to use disposable liners inside your nappies to help with the removal of solids, however these are optional and are not essential.

Nappy Bucket or Hanging Pail: Any lidded bucket or hanging pail can be used to store your wet nappies. There is no need for soaking, they can be thrown into the empty bucket or bag ready for wash day. If using a bucket, mesh bags or pail liners can be used to make transferral of your nappies from the bucket to the machine really easy.

Wet Nappy Bag:This is a waterproof bag to be kept in your changing bag that can be used to store your wet nappies when you are out and about. We recommend the Smart Tote

Boosters: These are optional and may be used if your child is a heavy wetter, or for night-time boosting. Our fabulous range of nappy boosters can be seen here

Lovely fabric, but problematic fastening
Sunday, 26 June 2016  |

I really like the main fabric; it is soft and absorbent enough for 3-4 hours. However I have problems with fastening it is firm and hooks in one batch Ive received were opening during washing.

Lovely nappy

I bought these for my three year old to wear overnight as I was fed up of using disposable pull ups, as he still wees a lot at night. I pop a triple layer bamboo insert into these and they last him overnight. The liners are super soft, and although the terry fabric is not as soft as bamboo its still very soft. They look bulky on him but the I'm used to him wearing pants ! They are a good fit on him, a size three, and he loves wearing them overnight, when they arrived he insisted on cuddling them all and calls them his special soft nappies.

Brilliant Nappies
Monday, 30 June 2014  |

I bought some of these nappies after having used some ancient ones for a few months that were brilliant. The 4th or 5th-hand ones I've been using were amazing even though the elastic had gone and the fabric was crispy ( baby doesn't feel this with a fleecy liner and softens when a bit wet) so the new nappies increase my stash as Ive decided a 2-part system works best for me. I like to use this nappy with a Motherease wrap; particularly an Airflow where this nappy still works well with only the waist of the Airflow done-up prperly and the legs open like a pair of shorts (I've had no wicking or leaks like this so far). My baby is now 19 weeks and we've been using the size 1 cotton Little Lambs for about 3 months. I'm only giving 4 stars because Im not convinced they will fit at 20lb. My child isnt even 13lb yet and I'm not sure they will be long enough soon and she is not particularly long, but overall an excellent nappy.

great night time solution
Sunday, 23 February 2014  |

We were looking for a nightime nappy and these with a bamboo booster and 'bombproof' LL wrap are great. The cotton is soft and will last a very long time. I chose these over bamboo as they can be dried in a tumble dryer if needed without turning hard like bamboo. Although I will probably not need to as the drying time is quicker than expected normaly one day on an inside airer.
