Little Lamb Bamboo Nappies

These nappies are made from super absorbent and super soft bamboo fibres, with some clever technology which means that the nappies stay softer, and dry quicker than any other bamboo nappy we have come across...

Little Lamb were the first to discover that bamboo was one of the most absorbent fibres to use, but when woven and made into nappies they found that it does have a tendancy to shrink. They searched far and wide and found a factory that would knit the fibre into their fabric,thus creating a non-shrink, non-pull bamboo nappy.You see, by using a fine microfibre for the inside of the nappy (where baby sits) it allows moisture to be drawn away from the skin.

This also allows for the nappy to “spin out” in the washing machine as many bamboo nappies will take an age to dry. They added a double layer of bamboo booster that is loose in the size 1 nappies and sewn into the size 2’s. This is to prevent the nappy becoming too bulky for tiny babie’s. It also ensures that the nappy remains as slim as possible giving your baby total freedom no matter if he is newborn and just wriggling in your arms or toddling across the room!

Easy to use, easy to wash, easy to dry and easy to buy.

Caring for this nappy is simple. Always use the dry bucket system (this means no soaking, no bleaching- just pop any poo down the loo then fold over the Velcro onto the laundry tabs and pop it into the bucket with the lid on to prevent any pong) then when you have a days worth of nappies (or two if you have enough), chuck it all into the washing machine with half a scoop of powder. When your machine has done all the hard work for you dry the nappies either on the line or in the dryer.

What else will I need?

Waterproof Cover: These nappies require a seperate waterproof cover. We can recommend the GEN-Y Classic, Smart-Fit and Bummis Superbrites. Unlike the nappy however, these will only need changing when damp or soiled so you should only need a few covers in total.

Liners: You may choose to use disposable liners inside your nappies to help with the removal of solids, however these are optional and are not essential.

Nappy Bucket or Hanging Pail: Any lidded bucket or hanging pail can be used to store your wet nappies. There is no need for soaking, they can be thrown into the empty bucket or bag ready for wash day. If using a bucket, mesh bags or pail liners can be used to make transferral of your nappies from the bucket to the machine really easy.

Wet Nappy Bag: This is a waterproof bag to be kept in your changing bag that can be used to store your wet nappies when you are out and about. We recommend the Smart Tote

I was having a hard time choosing between these Little Lamb Bamboo Nappies and TotsBots Bamboozle Stretchies so ended up buying both and now have come back to buy more little lambs! If you need a better fit then the adjustable size poppers on the bamboozle may be for you but the little lambs (size 2) seemed a really good fit on my 7 month old (19lbs). I found myself relying on the little lambs more than the totsbots as they came with a lovely thick and soft fleecy liner and seemed to last longer for the nights than the totsbots. They are perfect with a gen-y wrap and have become my perfect night nappies as they are reliable and we've never had a leak! For the price (Bought them whilst they were 40% off for christmas) they are fantastic! I was weary as I thought as they were cheaper than other nappies that they would lack some of the quality that the more expensive nappies have so only bought 5, now I've come back to purchase more as I find them much better to use than the some of the other nappies with wraps that I have. I really have not got a single criticism and they have shocked me by how good they are for the price!!

So pleased with these Bamboo nappies. I cant believe how absorbent they areand how quick they dry! Our little girl gets nappy rash quite a lot so we use the booster each time to keep her really dry. We have 6wraps but i think we'll get a few more. I really recomend using a disposable liner if you predict a poopy nappy though as it isnt fun scraping poo off the liner with the loo brush and a lot of baby changers in shops etc dont have loos in them so we'll use disposable liners when out. DONT forget to get some washable wipes either. weve been using cotton wool which is silly now as there isnt anywhere to put used ones.
overall a fab nappy!!!

I usually use pockets on my 19 month old but was advised to try a bamboo fitted and wrap, particularly at night. This nappy is perfect! Absorbs his BIG wees and keeps him dry. A great price and includes the booster and VERY soft LL fleece liner. Only need to get a wrap. Will be buying a few more to use as part of our stash - defo as a night nappy!

Bought Little Lamb bamboo nappy size 1 to try on my little girl who does massive wees as pocket nappies were not keeping her dry overnight. The Little Lambs are so cute and fluffy and she woke up nice and dry, with no leaks! We like them so much that I've bought the next size up (Size 2) for when she's bigger.

We have always used pocket nappies, but when they started leaking at night I was advised to try fitted bamboo nappies with a waterproof cover. We got 4 of these and they are perfect in every way. They come with a fleece liner so I didnt need to buy these seperately and they are more than absorbent enough to last us 12 hours right through at nights. They are slow to dry, and we might get 1 or 2 more just so that I dont have to panic about running out. We use them with the smartipants wrap which is one size fits all, and they have been a great night time combo! Thanks for the advice!

I bought these nappies when I still pregnant and bought size 1 in all of the fabrics. I figured that as size 1 went up to 20lbs they would last a fairly long time before having to go up a size. WRONG! by the time he was 3.5 months he had grown out of them and he only weighed 13-14lbs. Also I found that the lable on front of the nappy wicked moisture onto his clothes. I am now using a size 2 little lamb nappy with a mother-ease wrap and its fine
