Bright Bots Washable Training Pants

The Bright Bots Training Pants are a comfortable 'pull on' washable pant, designed to minimise little accidents! It has polyester fill to absorb and a PUL lining to help prevent leaks. A great value and very effective pull-on, which will hold approximately one wee, but will need changing quite promptly (this aids your child's awareness of the fact that they have wet)

These washable pull ups consist of a soft and comfortable cotton jersey, with elasticated waist and leg openings - with the absorbent part just between the legs and in the middle below the waist.

The Bright Bots Training Pants are designed to look and feel like the pant that 'bigger kids' wear and so encourage your child to progress through training. Your child should be changed each time the pants get wet.

These trainer pants are washable and hard wearing and so are an inexpensive and environmentally friendly alternative to disposable training pants.

Training Pants Materials:

80% Cotton 20% Polyester

Synthetic Wadding on the interior with a PUL layer for improved waterproofing

Please note, that these do NOT work in the same way as disposable 'pull-up nappies'- these are not designed to absorb liquid or hold it indefinitely. Disposable 'pull-ups' are marketed as a step towards potty training, but are only designed to keep your child in their products for longer. Washable pull-ons will protect against little 'accidents' and your bub will feel uncomfortable if he should have one, recognising that he has wet and will want changing. This can help to speed up the potty training process.

Available in Sizes (which are approximate- if in doubt size up!):

Small - 18 months, up to around 12kg (26lbs) - Waist = 52cm, Height = 84cm

Medium - 2 yrs, up to around 14kg (30lbs) - Waist = 54cm, Height = 92cm

Large - 2.5 yrs, up to around 16kg (35lbs) - Waist = 55cm, Height = 100cm

X-Large - 3 yrs + around 18kg (40lbs) - Waist = 56cm, Height = 108cm

These size guides are approximate, and it should be noted that the Bright Bots pants do tend to size up quite small. If in any doubt, it may be a good idea to opt for a size up. We are always happy to exchange items for alternative sizes as long as they have not been washed or worn.

Please also allow for a little shrinkage once washed, as these pants are cotton.

Excellent for potty / toilet training
Monday, 5 April 2010  |

I had already started potty training my daughter before I ordered these (using another cotton training pant) but was having to deal with lots of leaks and I don't think my daughter really liked the pants I was using. However she really likes these. She also likes to pick out the colour she wants to wear and yes they are designed just to hold one accident which is perfect - but they do contain one accident nicely so there is less mess to clean and my daughter can feel she is wet and they are helping her get much more confident in asking for the potty before she actually does a wee or poo. However I do recommend getting one or two sizes bigger than you'd think (I read this on other review sites and followed their advice). I got Large size for my 19 month old (approx 14 kilos) and they fit just right - not big at all and she'll probably grow out of them soon (which is OK because her training is going really well).

Bright Bots are great
Friday, 2 April 2010  |

After trying the imse vimse ones I like the Bright bots much better. They are'nt as thick and bulky and are more like real pants. They dont hold all that much pee but our son does know when he has peed and is more aware. They fit good too. 5/5

Training Pants
Wednesday, 24 March 2010  |

I bought 5 of these when potty training my daughter (still on-going!) and have found that it is best to buy a size or two larger as they are quite a tight fit (and my daughter is very slim). They have enough absorbency to hold a very small wee otherwise be prepared with towels and lots of running to the potty/loo!

Training pants

Love the colours! They are a little on the small side though so go bigger. I've got a slim 22 month old and the 2 yr old size just about fits

As expected
Tuesday, 23 February 2016  |

These are great at preventing puddles on the floor when out and about, they do leak through quickly do a trouser change is often needed but I expected that! They feel like big girl/boy pants, fit beautifully, my daughter doesn't know the difference between these and normal knickers, follow advice on website and size up if in doubt.

No good for normal size wees
Wednesday, 6 January 2016  |

I wish I'd read the reviews rather than being swayed by price - these are no better than regular pants for holding a normal sized wee. The description says they will "hold approximately one wee" but this isn't the case. They might be good for holding a tiny bit of wee before getting to the loo/potty and finishing their wee there but if your child is still not great at giving you warning, and you're practicing being out of the house nappy-free as we are, then these are not the training pants for you.

We love these pants
Friday, 23 June 2017  |

My daughter was potty trained in the smaller size, but we've bought the next size up just because they're lovely and comfortable, and do just catch those dribbles if she doesn't make it in time.
