My daughter is now 8 days old and although it took a couple of days to get to grips with these nappies and get into a good system, my husband and I are so pleased with them. My daughter seems so much more comfortable in them than the disposables.

We've been using these nappies for a while now and are really pleased with them. We're still on the size 1 'outer and have been using them since our little boy hit 5kg (you can use it for smaller babies but the inner flat nappies say they're suitable from 5kg - you have to get something else to use such as a mioboost on its own for newborns). The nappies contain poo really well, much better than disposables and our baby had very bad diarrhoea for 5 weeks with only a bit of minor seepage through the leg holes a couple of times when we didn't change him soon enough - at the time we were using a mix of washables and disposables and had several disposables that exploded up his back-didn't happen at all with these, even with bigger quantities of poo. We're using miosolos too and the miosoft aren't quite so simple to put on as them, but still not difficult, and you re-use the outers several times until they get poo on before washing so they take up much less room in the nappy bucket than all-in-ones so you can get more nappies in the bucket and therefore more nappies per wash. We did end up buying an extra wrap as we were finding we ran out of clean ones before the bucket was full but 5 seems a good number to have and means we can still keep using the nappies with a full load in the wash. I haven't tried other brands but am so pleased with these and the miosolos that I don't feel the need to! They are fairly bulky, especially on a small baby but I'm sure that will be less noticeable as he gets bigger. I'm not sure how these would fare overnight as haven't tried that yet but for during the day they're great, and excellent value for money!

I shopped around before choosing the Bambino Mio range. Lots of great comments on forums and as a first time reusable nappy user, they seemed the most user friendly. So far so good!
