Caboo Baby Carrier

The original Caboo carrier, thoughtfully updated...

A little more structure but with all the same softness. The soft wide straps distribute baby's weight evenly across both shoulders and the new larger reinforced back panel gives added support.

Easy to put on by yourself and to adjust, simply pull the rings to tighten. No tying necessary.

Multiple hands free positions.

Secure straps support your baby from the top of their head to the base of their spine. Baby is held in the recommended "frog legged" or "M" position to fully support their developing hips and spine.

The new padded cuff along the top of the Caboo offers a little more support for baby and now has a handy zip pocket for you too!

Mixed feelings

I really wanted to like using this but haven't half as muchas I expected. Maybe if I'd started trying to use it when my baby was younger he'd be more used to it and happier in it, but I had recurrent mastitis for the first few months and it was just too painful to use it. After 4 months i'm still over producing milk so it's not always particularly comfortable to carry him in but is sometimes bearable for short periods and is handy for things like just popping to the post box/going out short distances especially as we live in a flat so it means I don't have to struggle with the pram on the stairs. It was good after his injections too when he was super clingy so it made it possible for me to do things like make lunch without him getting upset about being put down. Unfortunately he doesn't really like being in it very much and wriggles a lot as well as screaming about being put in it or if I stop moving for more than a few seconds but I think that and my issues with breast pain would be the same with any sling. The sling itself is good-easy to adjust, washes well and as comfortable as is possible for me, although I do find it hard to tie the supportive cuff band tight enough-it tends to slip down when I've been walking for a bit. It's been a bit of a waste of money for me with the amount of use we're able to get out of it, making the cost per wear very high, but hopefully things will improve and I'll be able to use it more. Would definitely recommend for people who don't have issues with breast pain or very wiggly babies who don't like being confined, but probably suggest that it's good to start using with them as young as possible so they get used to it.

Just the job!

I tried my little one in a friend's Caboo and she seemed to like it so ordered one. It's only been 2wks but already worth its weight in gold as it's quick to put on and off and gives me a couple of precious hours a day where I have 2 free hands! Plus means we can go off-roading easily!
Only thing is I wouldn't want to carry a 32lb baby in it as suggested because of the slight stretch in fabric- so be prepared that it's perfect for the first few months only.

Great purchase. Nice alternative to the Baby Bjorn and feels more sturdy than more free form wraps.

Love this

I recently received one of these and it is really wonderful. This is my third baby and I have used another baby carrier with my first two that I just didn't find comfortable at all. Although it supported my back fine, it was hard to get the baby in and out without help from someone else. The Caboo is much more comfortable (and my baby is a big baby). I feel well supported and best of all it is SO easy to use. The fabric is lovely and soft and my baby feels relaxed enough to fall asleep in it. It has made my life so much easier now that I have one more child than hands!

Nice comfortable alternative to wrap

Eady to use and comfortable for baby, keeping them in good position for hips and back. Beginning to prefer soft structured carrier for my back though as daughter gets heavier (15lb now)

I just received this from the freecycle network. I really love the idea of it, but my little girl doesn't like it. She's never been a fan of swaddling, so being wrapped up close to me isn't ideal for her. She'll get in it but will complain for a while until she drifts off for a few minutes. It's good enough for me to get some housework done, and to get off the couch. I would recommend you try it out somewhere before you buy it, it's a bit fiddly, tends to slip forward, but overall better than the Baba Sling we had.
